Dear Saints Family,

As we move through November, please take note of the following key dates and events happening at school:

Testing Dates

• SAT Test Day: Saturday, December 6 at 0800. 

No School Days

• Wednesday-Friday, November 26-28: Thanksgiving Break.

Newsies - The Broadway Musical by the Aviano Community and Schools Theater 
Come seize the day with us! This weekend is your last chance to see our performances of Newsies in the MPR at 6 pm Friday and Saturday, and 2 pm Sunday. Suggested donations are $10 for youth and $15 for adults. We hope to see you there! 

Winter Sports Meeting – Monday, November 24 @ 5:15PM in the MPR
Calling all WINTER student-athletes ONLY and their families! Join us for the Winter Sports Meeting to learn about team expectations, schedules, and how to get involved. Coaches will be available to answer questions and share their vision for a successful season. Let’s gear up for a fantastic winter of teamwork and competition!

School Pictures and Yearbooks

• School Portraits:
  Our middle and high school yearbook classes took school portraits on the first day of school. We have been working hard to edit and correctly name these photos. We will share the portraits free of charge with students via their school Google email accounts. We hope to have all photos shared with students by Thanksgiving break. 
• Make-Up Photos:
  Make-up portraits will be scheduled after Thanksgiving break. Students who still need a photo will be sent a notification through their school email. Our goal is to ensure every student has a portrait in the yearbook.
• Yearbook Sales:
  Yearbooks are currently on sale for $65. The price will increase after January 1 to $75. Check out the attached flyer for more details.

Immunizations
Flu immunizations Required for enrollment! Due by December 1. 
Records must be emailed or turned into the Front Office or the Health Office @ AvianoMHS.Nurse@dodea.edu

Middle School Students Reading Incentive in the Information Center  
Nonfiction "Know"vember Reading Challenge Due by December 2 for 6th graders and December 8th for 7th and 8th graders. Middle school students received a bingo chart with book genres as the categories.  Students selected 5 books to read and will turn in their FACTS (Like BINGO) page to receive a treat and a ticket to win prizes.  Sheets and books can be turned in during seminar or during lunch to the Information Center (Library). 

Coin Challenge Fundraiser
Are you ready to help win ice cream for you and your WHOLE grade? It’s time to participate in the COIN CHALLENGE fundraiser for Model United Nations! There will be a large Culligan bottle for each grade level out in the lobby during lunch until December 5. Any euro or US coins add to your grade’s total, and any paper money added to another grade’s bottle takes away from their total. We will provide regular updates to announce who is in the lead!

Middle School Dance
Come join us for the Middle School Dance from 5:00-9:00PM in the MPR on Saturday, December 6. Ticket are on sale starting on November 24th for $10 and $15 at the door.
