AMHS Weekly Newsletter December 6, 2024
Dear Saints Family,
Â
As we head into the winter season, our sports teams are gearing up for an exciting weekend! Let’s rally behind them and show our Saints spirit:
- Basketball will be competing in BFA.
- Wrestling and the Sea Dragons will be in Vicenza.
Saints Spotlights:
- Congratulations to Mrs. Victoria Ray for being chosen the Wyvern Teacher of the Month.
- Congratulations to 2 of AMHS JROTC Cadets for being chosen as the Flight Academy Selects. The Air Force JROTC Flight Academy is an approximately 8-week summer aviation training program, conducted at partnering universities nationwide. Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded a Private Pilot's Certification.
Friendly Reminders:
- High School Musical Auditions: Calling all performers! Auditions will take place on Monday, December 9, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the MPR. Be prepared to perform one minute of a song and one minute of a story, monologue, or joke.Â
- SAC Meeting: Join us for the School Advisory Committee (SAC) quarterly meeting on Thursday, December 19, at the Information Center, starting at 3:00 PM. Your participation and input are vital to the success of our school community.
- Christmas Market: Celebrate the season at our Christmas Market on Friday, December 20, in the school gym from 1:40-3:00 PM.
- Lost and Found: Our Lost and Found, located near the foyer or the office, is overflowing! Please remind your child to check for missing items by the end of the school day on December 17th. Unclaimed items will be donated next week before the holiday break.
