As the 2024-2025 school year draws to a close, the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Europe reflects on another successful season of student activities, offering military-connected students across Europe opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership. From the performing arts to STEM competitions, leadership training, and emerging programs, DoDEA Europe’s diverse portfolio of events has provided life-changing educational experiences that will stay with students long after the final bell rings.
DoDEA Europe is proud to celebrate the Month of the Military Child (MoMC) across 64 schools in 8 countries, shining a spotlight on the strength, resilience, and courage of military-connected children. This month, our schools are hosting a wide range of events that include clap-ins, purple shirt days, interactive activities, performances by school bands, and more — all aimed at recognizing the vital role military children play in supporting their families and communities.
DoDEA Europe has successfully integrated wristwatch heart rate monitor (HRM) technology into high school physical education (PE) classes across Europe. This initiative highlights a strong collaboration among IT specialists, educational technologists (ETs), instructional systems specialists (ISS), and teacher support networks through job-alike Focus Collaboration Time (FCT).
